Solid End mills have cutting teeth on the sides and/or end to produce precise finishes in a workpiece during milling operations. Unlike indexable mills, solid end mills do not require replaceable inserts. These high performing tools are typically ground to tight tolerances and can be sharpened or reground after use. Material Options

Solid carbide end mills are designed for use in high-speed milling operations. These mills provide excellent rigidity and heat resistance. While carbide tends to be more brittle than high speed steel, it is capable of producing exceptional surface finishes to a variety of materials, including cast iron, nonferrous metals, plastics, and alloys. 
High speed steel provides excellent wear resistance and tends to be more cost-effective than other material options. HSS end mills operate at slower cutting speeds compared to solid carbide end mills, but they are much less prone to breakage under adverse milling conditions. These mills can be used to cut a variety of ferrous and nonferrous materials.
Cobalt is a higher end material option designed to provide excellent toughness and wear resistance. Cobalt end mills cause very little chipping under high-speed applications. This material is ideal for machining cast iron, heat treated steels, and titanium alloys.
Vanadium end mills are made from high-speed steel, carbon, vanadium carbide, and other alloys to provide extra toughness under abrasive conditions. Vanadium end mills are commonly used to cut stainless steels and high silicon aluminums. 
Powdered metal is cost-effective and highly resistant to breakage. Powdered metal end mills perform extremely well under shock, making them ideal for roughing operations.

Square End Mills

Also known as flat end mills, square end mills are used in general milling applications to create a 90° in a workpiece. These mills are one of the more common types of end mills used in milling applications.

Ball End Mills

Also known as ball nose end mills, ball end mills have a round cutting edge to produce a smooth finish. These mills are used for contouring, slotting, pocketing, and mold & die applications. We supply a variety of ball end mills, including cobalthigh-performance powdered metal, & general-purpose solid carbide options.

Corner Radius End Mills

Corner radius end mills have a rounded edge and are used in applications where a specific radius size is required. These mills maintain excellent wear resistance. Our selection includes general purpose and high-performance solid carbide.

Corner Chamfer End Mills

Corner chamfer end mills have an angled cutting edge and are used in applications that do not require a specific radius size. Similar to corner radius end mills, corner chamfer end mills also maintain excellent wear resistance. Our high-performance corner chamfer solid carbide end mills are available in a range of lengths and diameters.

Corner Rounding End Mills

Corner rounding end mills have grounded tips and rounded edges to reduce chipping on a workpiece. These tools produce smooth finishes and are ideal for deep cuts.

Roughing End Mills

Also known as hog mills, roughing end mills are used in applications that require fast removal large amounts of material. These mills are quick and leave a rough finish. We supply a variety of roughing end mills, including cobaltgeneral purpose solid carbide, and high-performance solid carbide options.
Tapered End Mills
Our tapered cobalt end mills have tapered cutting edges to carry chips away from the workpiece as it cuts. These mills are ideal for mold and die applications.

Miniature End Mills

Miniature end mills have smaller diameters for producing short, complex cuts. We stock a variety of miniature end mill styles, including miniature ball end millsminiature corner radius end millsminiature square end mills, and miniature tapered end mills.

CBN End Mills

CBN end mills are designed to produce precise cuts in hardened steel materials. These durable end mills are typically used in long production runs due to their superior wear resistance and seamless cutting capabilities.

Standard & Composite Router Bits

Router bits are typically used to make holes or shapes in wood and other soft materials. We offer standard router bits as well as router bits designed to cut composite material, such as carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP).
